MIAX Options - FIX Order Interface (FOI) Specification Updates to Support Stock-Tied Functionality

The MIAX Options Exchange has published updates to the FIX Order Interface (FOI) Specification for Stock-Tied Functionality. This is an addition to the updates published in the April 17, 2018 Alert:

FIX Order Interface (FOI) Specification v2.3a:

  • New Order Cross – Multileg (MsgType = As):Tag# 9624 (ContraSideShortSell) is updated to a conditional field. This tag is required if the contra side is the sell side of the stock leg. Its value for indicating “Not a short sell” is changed to “n”.
Important Dates:
  • The above interface updates will be available in the MIAX Firm Test Bed (FTB2) environment on Monday, June 4, 2018 along with rest of Stock-Tied functionality.
  • Production rollout of Stock-Tied functionality is scheduled for 3rd quarter 2018, subject to SEC approval. Specific date will be announced in a future alert.
