Technology and Operations Governance Manager

Princeton , New Jersey

Miami International Holdings is currently seeking candidates to apply for the position of Technology and Operations Governance Manager. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform regular review of industry standards such as COBIT, ITIL, NIST, etc. and evaluate current MIAX policies and standards against those standards.  Suggest improvements or changes as needed
  • Work with the risk group and technical subject domain experts to draft new Policies and Standards and amend existing ones as necessary
  • Perform regular review of industry standards such as COBIT, ITIL, NIST, etc. and evaluate technical/operational controls against the requirements of the relevant standards
  • Perform regular control self-assessments and work with the risk group and technical subject domain experts to suggest improvements to existing controls and standards
  • Maintain formal documentations of the internal controls and its mapping to industry standards
  • Liaise with Internal Audit and external auditors for technology and operation audits
Organizational Structure

The Technology and Operations Governance Manager will report directly to a Board Committee designated by the Exchange Board of Directors.

  • Experience creating Policies and Procedures and in adherence with industry standards like FFIEC, COBIT, ITIL, NIST, etc.
  • Experience with Financial Services Industry Audit and Compliance processes and standards as defined by FFIEC, COBIT, ITIL, NIST, etc.
  • Experience with control self-assessments and reporting to management
  • Experience in coordinating and leading internal audit/assessments
  • Experience working collaboratively with management executives, subject matter experts, and technical teams during implementation of projects
  • Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
  • Technical writing experience
  • Experience with excel based dashboard/scorecard creation
  • Ability to educate and advise staff regarding current IT related compliance regulations, upcoming regulatory changes and evolution of best practices

Trading Operations Quality Assurance Analyst

PRINCETON , New Jersey
We are currently looking for a highly motivated and hands-on Quality Assurance Analyst to join the MIAX Trading Operations Team.  This person must demonstrate experience leading and proactively participating in the end-to-end system testing process within a fast paced trading environment.  This person should also have the capacity to develop, author and troubleshoot comprehensive test scenarios which are validated against the testing system.

The Trading Operations team is responsible for all front line customer support.  Customer support includes client interface testing, connectivity procurement, system functionality, configurations and general trade support.  

In addition, the team is responsible for creating automated Quality Assurance testing scenarios to ensure adherence to the functional and non-functional requirements of the MIAX exchange Trading Systems.  

Main responsibilities include:
  • Leading and participating in the MIAX Quality Assurance program
  • Proactively participating in reviewing of business requirements for the purpose of developing test case scenarios that ensure complete test coverage of application functionality
  • Developing, maintaining and executing test plans and test cases that validate new features and releases
  • Creating traceability matrices that track MIAX software defects
  • Ensuring all software issues are reported and handled efficiently per the MIAX software defect remediation process
  • Participating in all aspects of a full-life cycle development methodology 
  • Performing application certification with external clients to ensure smooth transition of new features being enabled in the production environment
  • Communicating status efficiently and ensuring the team is on track for all manual testing
Organizational Structure

The Trading Operations Quality Assurance Analyst will report directly to the Vice President of Trading Operations and Listings.

  • Must have thorough knowledge of the Quality Assurance testing process and best practices
  • Experience with an automated testing platform in an integrated testing environment
  • Strong internal and external verbal and written communication skills are a must
  • Must have demonstrated accomplishments in testing user-interface and transaction-processing systems
  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills
  • Required to be a self-motivated, patient, dynamic, organized and responsible team player
  • Function at a high level and prioritize critical tasks in a dynamically changing environment
  • Possess a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Experience in software QA/testing
  • Experience testing trade execution systems at an exchange or for an ECN/ATS is a plus
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT/Computer Science
  • Knowledge/prior use of JIRA tracking software is a plus
  • Options industry background is a plus
