Project Manager

Princeton, New Jersey

We are currently seeking a full-time Project Manager with a thorough understanding of the project life-cycle, particularly related to technology.  This position will report directly to the Vice President of the Project Management Office.  
This position is responsible for the oversight of assigned projects within the organization supporting multiple securities exchanges.  Projects will span the organization and will include technology infrastructure, systems functionality, corporate acquisition and integration, administrative and financial.  The successful candidate must be able to manage numerous and diverse projects simultaneously, requiring strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and successful interaction with personnel in all departments of the organization including administrative, technology, legal, finance and regulatory.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and delivering on multiple projects from initiation to completion.
  • Monitoring and managing risk for daily technology change management.
  • Leading meetings with numerous departments.
  • Providing project guidance to all employees assigned to projects according to best practices and documented project management standards.
  • Reporting project status and issues to company management.
  • Recommending process, staffing and other changes to improve the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated project management skills in a technology oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated accomplishments as a project manager.
  • Experience with public speaking and meeting management skills.
  • Experience with software development and infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to identify timeline and dependency issues in project schedules early enough in the project life-cycle to ensure successful remediation.

  • Strong Microsoft Project skills.
Education and Experience
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in technology project management.

Senior Business Analyst

Princeton, New Jersey

We are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst with experience in business requirements writing and a background in the US Equities marketplace. This role is primarily focused on creating, documenting and implementing innovative business solutions for trading platforms from inception to launch and post-launch. The ideal candidate will be a team player, capable of working with other team members in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple competing priorities to deliver projects in a timely fashion.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Creates detailed functional requirements and specification documents
  • Strives to gather feedback from the technology, legal and operations teams to deliver a high quality work product
  • Investigates facts and designs innovative solutions that address customer and business needs
  • Creates product marketing material and collateral for internal and external users
  • Designs comprehensive test cases for business functionality, peer reviews the Test Case Framework to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Provides timely status to management on initiatives, identifies risks and proactively recommends solutions 
  • Part of team responsible for day to day exchange operations
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, Specialized second degree in a relevant discipline is a plus
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in gathering and writing business requirements
  • Subject matter expert in a function with proven ability to drive and deliver business projects
  • Understanding of day to day operations at an Exchange and/or at a Trading firm 
  • Experience with creation of test cases and competitive analysis

System Administrator - Production Systems

Princeton, New Jersey

Responsible for day-to-day maintenance and support of Linux production, QA, development, and infrastructure environments. Deploy, configure, harden, and manage systems across business unit platforms utilizing automation tools. Manage platform security, user provisioning, filesystem permissions, and privilege escalation for authorized personnel in all environments. Work with Security group to schedule and remediate system patching.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with given user requirements to provide solutions within the constraints of capabilities of the current platform environment.
  • Collaborate with software developers to review technology requirements to ensure the compatibility and standardization of previously deployed solutions. Should meet/exceed requirements, business objectives and goals.
  • Participates in change ticket system: answering trouble tickets, creating tickets for work performed, oversees trouble ticket lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain system documentation published via Wiki.
  • Implement appropriate automation solutions to streamline processes while reducing opportunity for human error and improving delivery times.
  • Work directly with vendor engineering support channels to identify, diagnose, and remediate operational issues (both software and hardware in nature) as encountered.

Role Description:

System Administrator

  • Daily monitoring and maintenance of all Linux system platforms. Create shell and python based scripts for automation and security. Review data types for operating system and SAN based trending metrics and generate reports based on correlated data. Assist with security lock down of required environments and policy review.

Development Support

  • Provide assistance to QA and developer environments that include software installation, monitoring, and policy based controls across platforms.

Level 2/3 Support

  • Provides Level 1 or Level 2 support to development and Systems Operations regarding network connectivity issues or server/network related hardware issues.
Organizational Structure

Reports to: Principal Technologist

Qualifications

Must-haves:

  • An associate's degree or equivalent with two years of hands-on experience working with UNIX/Linux.
  • Scripting and/or process automation experience.
  • Familiarity with Kickstart, system patching, RedHat Linux, and foundational knowledge of networking.
  • Experience with troubleshooting / addressing service requests, routine server maintenance, hardware component failure and server consolidation.
  • Ability to learn new technical skills quickly and apply them directly to project delivery.
  • Ability to remain flexible with after hours and weekend work/troubleshooting.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Prior work experience in financial or real-time computing sectors.
  • Python scripting knowledge and hands-on experience.
  • Working knowledge of support software development.
  • Training or equivalent work experience in large-scale storage (SAN/DAS) management.
  • Familiarity with day-to-day administration and platform management of enterprise backup solutions.
Education and Experience

Pay commensurate with experience and at or above industry standards for equivalent positions.
