Systems Engineer

Princeton , New Jersey

Responsible for the integration and day-to-day maintenance of Information security systems in a fast-paced mission critical environment. Deploy, configure, harden, and manage information security systems and develop automation tools. Manage platform security, user provisioning and privilege escalation for authorized personnel in all environments. Work with other internal infrastructure teams to identify and remediate short and long-term security concerns, including (but not limited to) scheduled and emergency system patching and performance of system-level audits and investigations. Actively monitor day to day security events and analyze logs for investigation. Specific tasks include:

  • Perform daily security traffic monitoring/analysis, review of vulnerability reports, threat intelligence feeds and triage of security alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, Web filtering reports while coordinating follow-up activities specific to CVE's and Alerts, taking ownership of the review process to ensure visibility, escalation of threat concerns and action.
  • Monitor and Identify areas of exposure, abnormalities, emerging threats and analyze security events/offenses to determine their root cause, report violations and security related operational incidents.
  • Recommend and install appropriate security tools and countermeasures.
  • Confer with users to discuss issues such as computer data access needs, security violations, and programming changes.
  • Assist in conducting system vulnerability scanning, performing risk assessment, internal/external information security audits coordination and respective follow-up activities.
  • Assist in updating policies, standards and guidelines while maintaining centralized repository documents and control processes library according to regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry standards and best practices involving security, including identification of solutions to mitigate risk vector.
  • Maintain proactive, consistent communications with the management team on systems or network security issues, status and projects.
Organizational Structure

The Systems Engineer will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Qualifications

Technical Capabilities:

  • Understanding of systems security, hardware/software installation, configuration, protocols , security standards, forensics tools and methodologies.
  • Solid hands on experience with Linux operating system and ability to write automation scripts 
  • Solid experience debugging system logs for various event investigations
  • Reasonable understanding of Windows operating system
  • Reasonable experience dealing with Security Events
  • Hand on experience installing and managing third party applications and supporting them
  • Hands on experience dealing with vendor support and debugging issues
  • Ability to establish formal testing methodologies and operational readiness assessments of new security products

Trading Operations Quality Assurance Analyst

PRINCETON , New Jersey
We are currently looking for a highly motivated and hands-on Quality Assurance Analyst to join the MIAX Trading Operations Team.  This person must demonstrate experience leading and proactively participating in the end-to-end system testing process within a fast paced trading environment.  This person should also have the capacity to develop, author and troubleshoot comprehensive test scenarios which are validated against the testing system.

The Trading Operations team is responsible for all front line customer support.  Customer support includes client interface testing, connectivity procurement, system functionality, configurations and general trade support.  

In addition, the team is responsible for creating automated Quality Assurance testing scenarios to ensure adherence to the functional and non-functional requirements of the MIAX exchange Trading Systems.  

Main responsibilities include:
  • Leading and participating in the MIAX Quality Assurance program
  • Proactively participating in reviewing of business requirements for the purpose of developing test case scenarios that ensure complete test coverage of application functionality
  • Developing, maintaining and executing test plans and test cases that validate new features and releases
  • Creating traceability matrices that track MIAX software defects
  • Ensuring all software issues are reported and handled efficiently per the MIAX software defect remediation process
  • Participating in all aspects of a full-life cycle development methodology 
  • Performing application certification with external clients to ensure smooth transition of new features being enabled in the production environment
  • Communicating status efficiently and ensuring the team is on track for all manual testing
Organizational Structure

The Trading Operations Quality Assurance Analyst will report directly to the Vice President of Trading Operations and Listings.

Qualifications
  • Must have thorough knowledge of the Quality Assurance testing process and best practices
  • Experience with an automated testing platform in an integrated testing environment
  • Strong internal and external verbal and written communication skills are a must
  • Must have demonstrated accomplishments in testing user-interface and transaction-processing systems
  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills
  • Required to be a self-motivated, patient, dynamic, organized and responsible team player
  • Function at a high level and prioritize critical tasks in a dynamically changing environment
  • Possess a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Experience in software QA/testing
  • Experience testing trade execution systems at an exchange or for an ECN/ATS is a plus
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT/Computer Science
  • Knowledge/prior use of JIRA tracking software is a plus
  • Options industry background is a plus
