MIAX Options Interface Specification (MEI, FOI & CTD) Updates Available

MIAX Options has just released updated Interface Specifications for the MIAX Express Interface (MEI), FIX Order Interface (FOI) and Clearing Trade Drop (CTD).  All specifications are currently available for review at MIAX Options Interface Specifications.

MIAX Express Interface (MEI) – v1.3 Summary

  • Changed the Points to note section of the ARM Settings Update Request message to indicate the current default. Additionally, indicated the max percentage in the message definition section.
  • Removed the NBBO price (prize will now be zero) from the Liquidity Seeking Event Notification message due to routes (Event Type ‘R’).
  • Added the Priority Quote Width and added reserved space to the Series Update message.
  • Added clarification on permitted quote width in the Quote Width Relief Notification message.  

FIX Order Interface (FOI) – v1.5 Summary

  • MsgType A – added tag 98 to message.
  • Added tag 1003 to Execution Report message.
  • Added additional clarification to tag 57.
  • Noted that the OnBehalfOfCompID tag will not be used for clearing.
  • Added support for ISE Topaz in the Execution Report message.
  • All Timestamps support millisecond granularity.
  • Clarified failure/recovery functionality.

Clearing Trade Drop (CTD) – v1.3 Summary

  • Added support for ISE Topaz in the Execution Exchange field.
  • Added support for trade condition ‘X’ – Trade Through Exempt.

Important Dates:

  • 11/26/2012 – Interface updates for MEI, FOI and CTD available in the MIAX Firm Test Bed (FTB) environment.
  • 12/1/2012 – Interface updates for MEI, FOI and CTD available in the Production Mock Trading environment.
